The goal of Charis Bible College is to serve the Church of Jesus Christ by training young men and women to walk with God , to interpret and communicate God’s words, and to minister to God’s people. Christ Himself is the supreme model for Christian Ministry and it is He who said, “I am among you as the one who serves.” (Luke 22: 27) Any ministry that manifest the presence of Christ is characterized by the humble giving of Oneself to meet the needs of others.

Pastor V A Thampy and Mariamma Thampy
Late Pastor V A Thampy and Mariamma Thampy are the founders of the New India Church of God. In the early 1960s by faith, they started their mission work in southern India. God strengthened and equipped them to reach all over India with a mission of “Christ for India and India for Christ". We are so blessed to become their spiritual sons and daughters. I am proud to say they are our spiritual parents and mentor. We are motivated by their testimony and passion for Christ and we do equip others for a great mission.

Greetings to Pastors, Brothers, Sisters and to all the well-wishers in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Psalm 1:3 states that the righteous ones “are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.” Roots are always apparent and thus are easily ignored, but the deeper the roots, the more secure the tree. Theological education is designed to grow your roots, to deepen critical analysis of yourself which includes the study of your life style, your take on secular and spiritual world, and your traditions. At the same time, here you are also deepening your relationships with God, others, and the world. Theological education is more than a skill set. Yes, you will be learning the skills to teach and preach and participate with others in more genuine ways, but at the same time you will also be transformed in mind and soul to think deeply about our world and its needs and how you can lead others into transforming the broken pieces into moments of healing and grace. Charis Bible College is a theological institution which motivates the young people for Church Planting in unreached areas. I am very happy to be a part of Charis Bible College. Charis Bible College which focuses solely on Church planting. The institution was functioning in small way before Corona. After their graduation they went to different parts of India and are working in the God’s vineyard and are planting churches. On hearing these Testimony, we were inspired to restart Bible College. We offer B.Th. degree program with the curriculum of Asian Theological Association (ATA) Church Planting in a unique setting. Our classes are small and taught by experienced professors. We are looking for students who have a desire and a fire in them to establish churches where the word of God hasn’t reached yet and who will leave here to serve in many places, from the pulpit to the non-profit company. Come and visit us, and you may find this is your home too.
